Clay Hill Garden Events is a rustic-elegant wedding and event venue in the bucolic village of Yale, Virginia, minutes from Sussex County's historic courthouse, owned and run hands-on by Debbie Wilson. The property offers a restored antique barn with chandeliers, a spacious tent, an outdoor arbor (decoratable with sheer fabric and twinkling lights), a quaint bridge and perennial-and-boxwood gardens set among amber wheat fields, providing endless photo opportunities. Capacity is up to 200 guests. The venue provides tables and chairs, dressing rooms for pre-wedding prep, restrooms, plentiful parking, a catering tent for food and beverage setups, an existing decor and accessory collection (or BYO), and tower heater rentals for cool nights; outside caterers are allowed and a professional photographer can be reserved through the venue or brought by the couple.
