The Obici House is a historic 1920s mansion set inside Sleepy Hole Golf Course on the Nansemond River in Suffolk, Virginia, once home to Planters Peanuts founder Amedeo Obici and his wife Louise. The estate offers indoor and outdoor wedding spaces with chandeliers, original stained glass windows, Greek columns, hardwood floors and two fireplaces, and accommodates up to 150 guests. Ceremonies can be held at the Pergola overlooking the river, under the Greek-column portico, or in one of several indoor rooms, with sunset views over the 18th green. Rental rates start at $4,000 and include set-up/breakdown, tables, chairs, linens, glassware, dinner plates and utensils, a bridal dressing suite on the top floor, specialty lighting and a dance floor. Couples work with an in-house coordinator (Terry/Sharon) and choose caterers from a preferred vendor list.
