Rockfish Ranch is a luxurious, exclusive 600+ acre private estate wedding and lodging venue in Shipman, Virginia (Nelson County), just south of Charlottesville along the Blue Ridge Mountains and Rockfish River, hosting weddings since summer 2022 after a two-year transformation from a former vacation property. The site features 2,500 feet of private river frontage, 120 acres for exclusive use, multiple ceremony and event sites with sunset views, walking trails (one leading to a nearby brewery), outdoor fire terraces and a 60'x100' event tent on a pad available mid-August through mid-November. Receptions can be held in a great barn building or under the tent; tented outdoor weddings accommodate up to 350 guests and ceremonies up to 250. Three fully refurbished modern-rustic cabins (The Cabin and The Cottage each sleep 8, The Lodge sleeps 4 with a party room) accommodate up to 20 overnight guests with pool table, hot tub and barrel sauna. Couples take the entire estate from Thursday noon through Sunday 5 PM. Rental includes a bridal suite, chairs, tables, lighting/sound, an altar/arch, dance floor, tents, parking, Wi-Fi and a light-duty commercial kitchen for caterers; an in-house event coordinator provides vendor recommendations. The property is pet-friendly and walking distance to Wood Ridge Farm & Brewery.
