Kingsbay Mansion is a gated Georgian waterfront estate on the peninsula of Coulbourn Creek at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay in Marion Station, Maryland, designed by Ian McCallum (architect for Colonial Williamsburg) and built in 1970. The 13,000-square-foot mansion is the largest private home in Somerset County, with 10 bedrooms, 9 full baths and 4 powder rooms, transformed into a boutique hotel, wedding venue and private event center in 2015. Notable features include a three-story rotunda with domed skylight and Belgian crystal chandelier, the Crystal Ballroom (50 guests, vaulted ceilings, chandelier), an English-style Bay Club pub, three dining rooms, a formal living room with double-wide fireplace and beamed ceiling, a Grecian in-ground pool and approximately 2,000 feet of protected shoreline with a dock. The estate accommodates up to 250+ guests for tented waterfront weddings and seats 100 for indoor dinners; lodging across the mansion and three guest houses sleeps up to 42 guests. Wedding packages start at $9,995, and an in-house team coordinates planning, ceremony, catering and AV, with tents and on-site transportation contracted exclusively through the venue.
