#1Dorsey Chapel Historic Site
Dorsey Chapel is a small Gothic Revival / Queen Anne style historic chapel in Glenn Dale, Maryland, built in 1900 as a Methodist church for the Brookland African American farming community. Saved from demolition in 1980 and restored by M-NCPPC, it re-opened as a museum in 1996 and is now a Prince George's County historic site managed by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. The chapel is available for rental for small weddings, christenings, recitals, and meetings on two and a half acres of land. It is a ceremony-only venue with a maximum capacity of 50 people; food and drink are prohibited inside.
